   I visited Fermoy’s this morning with my elderly mother (hope she doesn’t read that bit) to look at goldfish in the Newton Pet Store for her new pond. They had a lovely range of fish from red, yellow and mixed coloured goldfish and in different sizes too. We also wanted some pond weed, lilies and other pond plants all of which they had in abundance. Mum nearly got carried away with all the fountains and lots of the accessories – in fact I was really surprised by how much pond stuff they have, not to mention all the other pet stuff we saw – way bigger than I thought it was. But I guess the main reason for this review was the help that Dave offered throughout our visit. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable with all the questions, and extremely patient with my mum changing her mind, and not to mention when she wondered off through a staff only exit to find a trolley.. He went off to help her, found her a trolley and bought her back too.. So we both wanted to say a huge thank you to Dave and although we only spent about £100 we’ll certainly be back to look at the fountains. What a super helpful chap and an absolute credit to Newton Pets. Written by me, her son, but on behalf of my mother, Dawn.

   We bought a throw ball and stick, the one where you can pick the ball up with it. It’s brill, works a treat, and got some dog treats too. They were very helpful, thank you, Claire
